Are Politics having an effect on the way we dress?

It is a known fact that current events can influence the way we fashion and the way we dress. Currently we’re seeing a lot of professional attire; could it be the economic and political news that have altered the way we present ourselves? We’ve already seen a trend in movies, “Lincoln,” ”Argo” and “Zero Dark Thirty” which are all nominated for a Golden Globe tonight and all mainly focus on politics! But what role is the fiscal cliff playing in the way we dress, and shop? or is it? Lately in the style world we’ve been seeing a lot of black, and professional attire, blazers are not just for the office anymore, they’re becoming a go to piece and it’s even replacing the today’s jacket and sweater.

For example “Zero Dark Thirty” Inspired recent Army and black leather trend.

Take a look at the attire in Argo, could this seventy inspired look of oversized colars, and blue and tweet blazers, I can see a new look for men in the office!
