Tory Burch, Sara Blakely, Kelly Slater, and Renzo Rosso while not all directly related to each other are however related according Forbes article entitled “Billionaires 2013: Notable Newcomers” article. The article lists major fashion heads, as being the world newest billionaires! Tory Burch first came to the scene in February 2004 and started in a small upper east side apartment and eventually spread to a widely successful contemporary brand, and now being honored by Forbes as one of the top billionaires in the world and in just nine short years at age 47, Tory Burch is second youngest female billionaire in the world, only second to 42-year-old Sara Blakley who is the inventor of spanx.
Sara Blakley, just needed something to wear under her white slacks and boom! Spanx are created. Years later Sara at age 42 is given the title youngest self-made billionaire, second to none! Spanx new modern take on the girdle has been a revolution for women all around the world and all it took to start was a smart investment. Sara took her entire five thousand dollar savings, and put it all forth as payment on her business and from that a billion dollar company was born. Only six months after creating her product, it got raves reviews as it was advertised as one of Oprah’s favorite things on her previous day time talk show, Oprah.
Renzo Rosso age 57, his product Diesel jeans has skyrocketed him into holding a seat on the billionaires list also. Rosso first appeared on the fashion scene opening his store in Manhattan and who would’ve expected that now this billion dollar company would’ve emerged from that Manhattan store front, and that only specialises in denim. Upon opening his new store front he picked a spot right across the street from Levi’s denim on Lexington ave. Diesel is now worth over three billion dollars.
